David G. DeVoe

Managing Director, Charles Schwab Advisor Services®

David G. DeVoe is the managing director of the strategic business development group at Charles Schwab Advisor Services. He oversees Schwab Advisor Services’ mergers and acquisitions program strategy and manages relationships with holding companies, investment banks, and private equity firms. His team is also responsible for the company’s Consolidator and National Firm segments, which custody over $45B* in assets at Schwab.

Previously, he was director of practice management programs at Advisor Services. He was responsible for developing and managing a suite of programs to help advisors with business critical issues, including business strategy, mergers and acquisitions, internal succession, workforce management and compliance. Prior to this role, he led product strategy for Schwab Private Client.

Before joining Schwab in 2002, DeVoe was a senior manager in the strategic planning group at American Express, where he focused on business strategy and evaluating acquisition opportunities. Early in his career, he founded and managed several small businesses.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Cornell University Johnson Graduate School of Management.
